Verdict on John Wick Chapter 4
John Wick Chapter 4 continues the battles of Mr Wick against the High Table. This time he finds himself up against a man who has control over everything in order to stop him. John must turn to the people he trusts the most to escape this world before it is too late.
When it comes to world-building, we continue to see how this creation continues to grow. The endless number of assassins around most major cities is getting a little bit over the top, but we are committed now. This does a great job of showing loyalty in the world and how it can be tested.
The new characters Caine, Tracker and Marquis are all excellent to follow. They show us the gray area in the world and how desperate people can be to escape it. The new cast members Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård and Shamier Anderson step into the world effortlessly. On the other hand, the returning cast members are always brilliant.
When it comes to the action sequences, we can only praise the stunt team for their amazing efforts. The sequence at the Arc de Triomphe is breath-taking action, and it continues for what felt like a near 45 minutes long sequence. It felt never-ending and never got boring, it is unbelievable to watch.
Final Thoughts – John Wick Chapter 4 is an unbelievably action-packed movie.
