Joe Manganiello in final talks to be in ‘Magic Mike’Steven Soderbergh’s in the process of making a film about male strippers currently called, “Magic Mike” and True Blood’s Joe Manganiello is in final talks to join the flick that already stars Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey and Matt Bomer.

Manganiello will play Big Dick Richie, a role that is sure to require the ripped actor to drop trou at one point or another.

The flick will feature Tatum as the title character, a veteran stripper who mentors a younger dancer (I Am Number Four‘s Pettyfer) in the art of hustling. McConaughey will portray a former stripper who now owns the club, called Xquisite, where Tatum’s character works.

The movie will mark a reunion, of sorts, for Manganiello and Bomer – two former school chums who just worked together on an episode of White Collar. The True Blood werewolf shed the extra hair to play a villain on the USA drama. His episode will air when the series returns in January.

Meanwhile, Manganiello is expected to remain gainfully employed over at HBO, which just ordered a fifth season of True Blood. The current season ends on Sept. 11.

Magic Mike will start shooting on Sept. 14 for a 2012 release.
