President-elect Joe Biden has created a new account on Twitter for those interested in keeping an eye on the new president's thoughts. You can follow the new account at @PresElectBiden.
It wasn't immediately clear when Biden created the new verified account, although at the time of this writing it had just over 7,000 followers, suggesting that it hadn't lived long.

His first tweet appeared at 7:15 p.m. PT and introduced the account.
"Folks - this will be the report of my official duties as president," wrote Biden. "It will be on January 20th at 12:01 pm @POTUS. Until then I will use @Joe Biden. "
The Biden campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The official presidential account @POTUS, which Biden will inherit on Jan. 20, currently has 33 million followers. That number is likely to change, however, as Biden doesn't automatically inherit the previous administration's supporters if he officially takes control of the account on the day of inauguration.
Twitter said last month that the account won't automatically keep its existing followers. Instead, Twitter gives account followers the opportunity to follow accounts under the Biden administration.
Social media helps people, including the president, get a message across to large numbers of people online instantly. Twitter's decision not to automatically transfer followers could limit the number of people the upcoming administration can reach online. Biden's team isn't happy with their choice of Twitter.
Rob Flaherty, the digital director of Biden's presidential campaign, said in a tweet in December that Twitter had told Biden's transition team that "the Biden administration must start from scratch" when the @POTUS and @WhiteHouse accounts are transferred .
The Twitter company will also transfer @WhiteHouse, @VP, @FLOTUS, @PressSec, @Cabinet and @LaCasaBlanca to the Biden administration on the day of inauguration.
