Conductor to be arrested for molesting minor

The Welimada Police said they received the judicial medical report related to a case where a school girl was allegedly raped by a conductor inside a private bus on Saturday, three years after the incident.
The alleged rape incident had happened on January 4, 2020.The conductor of the bus was arrested after the incident and presented to court. Police said that he was released on bail. The victim had been hospitalized and presented to the judicial medical officer for a report.
Police said the relevant medical report was received Saturday (1), three years after the incident.
Police said the student is currently 19 years and is working in a garment factory.The bus conductor has gone on a visit to Kataragama and is slated to arrive in Welimada today. Police said he will be arrested and produced in court.
