James Thomas Fallon, the world-known American television host, has purchased a Moonbirds NFT. He tweeted, “Fly, Moonbirds, Fly!” Moonbirds also welcomed him with a retweet. Moonbirds NFTs were launched on Saturday, April 16, and have already achieved an incredible $200 million in sales in just two days, as you may have heard this week. The owl-themed non-fungible tokens were published by the PROOF Collective, a private club of NFT collectors led by Ryan Carson and Kevin Rose, for a membership fee of at least 99 ETH. Each of the Moonbirds non-fungible coins was offered and sold for 2.5 ETH when they were introduced on Saturday.
Moonbirds NFT has caught the interest of many collectors, and with record sales, it has become the newest collection to earn blue chip status only days after its minting on Saturday.
The excitement and expectation around the owl-themed NFTs were described as unprecedented. It’s even more remarkable given that this is PROOF Collective’s debut effort, and yet all of the tokens were sold out in a matter of hours.
A clip from Paris Hilton’s recent appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which was intended to promote NFTs, has recently gone viral online.

Moonbirds and NFTs

The floor price was reported to be 20.2 ETH ($64,000) at the time of publishing. In the past 30 days, the collection also arrived at the top of the volume ranking on the OpenSea NFT marketplace, topping Azuki and Bored Ape Yacht Club, which had values of 50,000 and 35,000 ETH, respectively.
