Jeremy Piven Passed A Lie Detector Test

Today is the day we learned that a smarmy, self-important Hollywood dreg doesn’t necessarily HAVE to include a tendency to be overly familiar with the ladies in his bag of dickery. According to The Blast, Jeremy Piven has passed several lie detector tests in relation to the multiple accusations of sexual harassment made against him. Maybe you really can’t judge books by their covers? It’s awful when cliches are correct.

The accusations began after actress and former Playboy Playmate Arianne Bellamar accused Piven of groping her in his Entourage trailer, as well as a second time at the Playboy Mansion. Piven denied all allegations, and volunteered to take a polygraph to prove his innocence. Unless Lena Dunham was the person administering it, it looks like Jeremy was telling the truth. Yay?

The test was administered by a member of the American Polygraph Association with Chapman Investigations on November 13. Its stated purpose was to determine whether Piven “ever ‘grabbed’ or touched Ms. Arianne Bellamar, without consent or otherwise, on the buttocks and/or breast area, while on the set of Entourage and/or at the Playboy Mansion, approximately five years ago.” They were also trying to determine if Piven was telling the truth when he said that she was never even IN his trailer.

Here’s how the questions were put to Piven, and his answers.

Piven’s answers were evaluated and it was determined he showed “no reactions indicative of deception to any of the relevant questions” and that he passed.

The Blast also noted that, in 2016, Arianne Bellamar was hit with a $2 million judgment after her mother-in-law and father-in-law accused Bellamar and her husband of “libel, false light, cyber piracy and internet impersonation.” And that she’s currently being sued for libel by a businessman whom she allegedly wrote slanderous things about on Twitter.

Piven also took separate tests to determine if he was telling the truth when he said that he also didn’t sexually harass or assault his other two accusers, Tiffany Bacon and Amy Meador. He even took a “blanket test” to determine whether or not he’s ever pulled this shit on ANYONE. The Blast says he passed all his additional tests with no signs of deception.

It should be pointed out that Wikipedia reminds us that, in 1998, the US Supreme Court left it up to individual jurisdictions whether lie detector test results could be used as evidence in court cases.

Just to save against us possibly being gaslighted here, I’d also like to point out that Ted Bundy and Sharon Stone’s vagine-displaying murderess character in Basic Instinct both passed lie detector tests. The police and legal procedurals that were part of Basic Instinct’s plot were OBVIOUSLY heavily and thoroughly researched. Just a thought!
