Jennifer Lawrence is the new Hollywood “it” girl. Her rise to the top is astonishing but given her acting chops, not totally unsurprising. Now given that she is now officially an Oscar winner at the tender age of 23, it’s obvious that she’s hit her stride and should have no problem cementing her A-List status in Tinseltown. With the prestige comes the endorsements. Jennifer is set to follow in fellow Academy award winner’s shoes– Natalie Portman. Dior is turning it’s Hollywood’s nostalgic glam eye towards ms. Lawrence and the results are simplistic, still stunning and as always, classic.
At the 85th Academy Awards, Jennifer Lawrence transformed herself into a Parisian Prom Queen when she chose a strapless Dior Haute Couture dress. Her hair was pulled back into a soft, flattering chignon, Chopard’s diamond drop earrings were blinking at her lobes while a Roger Vivier clutch was held in her manicured hand. True, the 22-year-old actress slipped before accepting her award for the ‘Silver Linings Playbook.’ Clearly, the gown’s thick fabric and train were a problem. Nevertheless, the glowing-with-glamour Lawrence coped and the teeny mishap made her into even more of a Hollywood sweetheart.
