The Voice UK coach, Jennifer Hudson who experienced the devastating loss of her mother, brother and nephew in the public eye, recently revealed that she attempted to withdraw from the world in the aftermath of the tragedy, but it was her Christian faith that helped her to endure and led her back to her career.
“There would be no point in faith if it wasn’t tested,” she said during an interview. She added that through her faith, she has found the ability to forgive her family’s killer. “I feel like, for the most part, it’s not his fault. It’s how he was brought up.”
The singer also revealed that she hasn’t forgotten her church roots.
“I sing in church every Sunday,” she said. “I’ve been doing this my whole life. I’m still the same girl.”
