Few things in life stand up after ten years. Haircuts date, clothes go out of fashion, cars break down and relationships fall by the wayside. Thankfully Dead Wood Falls the début album from Jen Cloher and The Endless Sea has endured. Recently chosen by Faster Louder as one of their dozen albums from 2006 worth immediately revisiting, Cloher's eye for rich, evocative storytelling won the album an ARIA nomination.
To mark its tenth anniversary and its accompanying first pressing on vinyl Jen has (literally) got the old band back together again to play the album in its entirety as well as a handful of Endless Sea classics.
Whether you're heading down to reminisce or to experience her earlier work for the first time, these shows present a rare opportunity to witness a great songwriter revisit Dead Wood Falls with all of the skill and accomplishment she's developed since.
