Jeb Bush Has A Problem - His Brother (And Father)
Early in his campaign, Jeb Bush tried defending his brother (especially about the wars he started). That didn't work too well for him. He tumbled from an early lead in the race for the GOP presidential nomination, and now resides back in the pack with the other candidates. Now he is trying to distance himself from his father and brother -- especially his brother.
And there's a good reason for that. It seems that a plurality (43%) of the public say that the memory of Jeb's father and brother as president would make them less likely to vote for him. That's a significant percentage to overcome -- and unless he can somehow distance himself from his family, it's going to be very hard for him to get the nomination (or win a general election).
The chart above was made from a recent Rasmussen Poll -- done on June 15th and 16th of a random national sample of 1,000 likely voters, with a 3 point margin of error.
