JBL is no stranger to true wireless earbuds, but it is now targeting the high-end space that models like Apple's AirPods Pro and Sony's WF-1000XM3 take up. The Samsung subsidiary introduced its first true wireless earbuds in the Club range - the Club Pro Plus - and these earbuds are intended for everyday listeners who are looking for a headset that does more than just play music.
The new in-ears feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) with an intelligent environment feature that can pick up background noise when you need to pay attention to your surroundings. If you're looking for a workout-friendly alternative, JBL is also bringing out Endurance Peak II earbuds (above) for $ 99.95 that offer 30 hours of combined battery life, a sturdier hook-shaped design, and a waterproof build. JBL also released the JBL Quantum 50 in-ear headset, which costs $ 29.95.
The company tops it off with a range of bluetooth speakers that are great for home listening and socially distant parties. The eye-catcher is the JBL PartyBox 310, a luminous bike loudspeaker that emits 240 W and lasts for up to 18 hours. This is the big speaker to look out for, and it's priced at $ 499.95. Alternatively, the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go has an output of 100 W and only lasts six hours, although it contains a wireless microphone and a shoulder strap. This is a little cheaper and costs $ 299.95.
If you're more into personal listening, the JBL Xtreme 3 has a familiar design with improved drivers and 15 hours of battery life in a waterproof, IP67-rated case. The more adventurous can purchase this speaker for $ 349.95. The JBL Go 3 can be plugged in and lasts five hours. It's affordable at just $ 39.95, making it a great option for bikers and hikers alike. If you're looking for something that looks a bit more sturdy, keep an eye out for the carabiner-equipped JBL Clip 4. This new portable speaker promises a "fresh new look" and 10 hours of music for $ 69.95.
The Go 3 will be the first to ship in both the US and Europe in October. The Xtreme 3 should arrive in a similar timeframe for Europeans, but by November for the US. The clip for arrives last, reaching Europe in November and the US in December.
