Jay Z Responds To Bob McNair On 4:44 Tour
Houston Texans owner Bob McNair is still getting backlash for his “inmates running the prison” comment, which was in reference to players kneelind during the national anthem. McNair did express regret and issued a public apology over the weekend, but still some Texans players considered staging a walkout.
Now, Jay Z, who has obviously been a very vocal supporter of Colin Kaepernick, has responded to the comments. The mogul took a moment to address it during the opener of his 4:44 Tour in Anaheim, California on Friday. Before performing his track, “The Story of O.J.,” Jay talked to the audience about McNair’s comment and explained that we still have a long way to go as a society.

Hov said at the concert: “[They’re] injuring themselves on the field, giving it all they got. That’s how they look at you. That’s what they think about you. We got so much further to go. The truth is we all believe in whatever you believe in. God, Allah. Whatever you believe in, we come from one source which means we are all brothers and sisters at the end of the day.”
