Oluwaseeun Olawale of Java Lane SC celebrates after scoring a goal

Java Lane SC routed Solid SC by a massive margin of 7-1 in their 2022 Champions League Football Tournament match played at the Maligapitiya Grounds in Kurunegala.
After conceding an early goal to their opponents, Java Lane SC came back strongly to take the lead 2-1 at half time and went on to completely dominate the game in the second half.
Java Lane SC’s overseas player Oluwaseeun Olawale was in tremendous form while netting five goals including a hat-trick while Naveen Jude scored a goal during each half.
Meanwhile, Pelicans SC cruised to a comfortable 4-0 victory over SLTB SC in another Champions League match played at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.
The winners built up a commanding 3-0 lead at half time and went on to consolidate their position while adding a fourth goal to their tally in the second half.
In another fixture, Super Sun SC edged-out Police SC 1-0 at the Kotawila Grounds in Matara with overseas player Bausu Kwabena scoring the match winning goal.
