Welcome to my picture story – today it is Jasmine !!My daily morning routine starts with watering some plants on terrace and feeding birds. Pigeons and sometimes Parrots fly in as visitors. Today for the first time, this flower bosomed in my terrace.
திருக்கோயில்களுக்குச் சென்று இறைவனை வழிபடுகிறோம். நமக்கு அனைத்து நல்லனவற்றையும் அளிக்கும் இறைவனுக்கு நமது நன்றியை அன்பை வெளிப்படுத்துவதற்கு அபிஷேக வழிபாடு மலர் அர்ச்சனை ஆகியவற்றை மனம் குளிரச் செய்து வழிபடுகிறோம். இறைவனுடைய அருளைப் பெறுவதற்குத் புஷ்பங்களும், திரவியங்களும் எளிமையான வழியாகும். நறுமலர்கள் திருக்கோவில்களில் எம்பெருமானுக்கு சாற்றப்பெற்று வருகின்றன. அந்த காலத்தில் நந்தவனத்தில் இருந்து கொய்த அன்றலர்ந்த பூக்களைப் திருக்கோவிலில் உள்ள மண்டபத்தில் வைத்து தொடுத்தனர். இதற்கென கல்லால் தனி மேடை அமைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும். இதற்கு "பூப்பலகை' என பெயர். எம்பெருமான் கழலிணைகள் சிறப்பானவை. இறைவனுடைய திருவடிகளை "மலரடி' என்று போற்றுகிறோம்.
அருவியின் சலசலப்பில் வெண்ணிற ஆடை மங்கையர் சீராக ஆட, ஜென்சி, பி வசந்தா குரலில், கங்கை அமரனின் வரிகளில் இசைஞானி இளையராஜாவின் இன்னிசையில் புதிய வார்ப்புகள் படம் ஞாபகம் வருகிறதா ! - பாக்கியராஜின் இந்த படம் வெளி வந்த வருஷம் 1979.
தம்தன நம்தன தாளம் வரும்; புது ராகம் வரும் பல பாவம் வரும்
அதில் சந்தன மல்லிகை வாசம் வரும் ;
மணமாலை வரும் சுப வேளை வரும்;

You may have read this saying -“April Showers bring May Flowers” -is there any truth to it?.. .. Right from Sangam literature, flowers have been integral part of Tamil lore.
One of the most attractive, fragrant flower is ‘Jasmine’ ~ a genus of shrubs and vines in the olive family of Oleaceae. Often I take the help of Google images and this one was identified as ‘Jasminum nervosum’, a species of jasmine.

As could be seen, there is a spider too, seen on the flower.This is identified by Google images as ‘Olios’ of genus of huntsman spiders. Huntsman spiders, members of the family Sparassidae (formerly Heteropodidae), are known by this name because of their speed and mode of hunting.They are small to large Sparassidae, that have eight eyes in two partially straight rows. For the smaller species of this genus, they are usually light brown to brown with darker areas.
Some of you may not be able to sleep without knowing the relevance of the person pictured at the start.She is – Paolini who was in news recently.Karolina Muchova advanced to the quarterfinals of the US Open 2024 women’s singles after beating Italy’s Jasmine Paolini on Monday at the Arthur Ashe Stadium.
Jasmine Paolini went into the match as favourites, having won most Grand Slam matches this season. She also won the Gold medal with Sara Errani in the women’s doubles event in the Paris Olympics. Having also finished as the runners-up in the Wimbledon and French Open, Paolini was expected to roll over Muchova, who fought her way up.Jasmine Paolini is from Italy and is a two-time major finalist, reaching the 2024 French Open and Wimbledon finals.
