Warning: Personal thoughts ahead! When it comes to feminine hygiene products, there is a wide variety of local brands to choose from. Honestly, as long as these napkins don't leak, I'm a happy camper. (Let's not get into the unpredictable mood swings during that time of the month. I'm still a happy camper when I don't have to use hydrogen peroxide on my clothes.)
I just tend to be practical, leaning towards budget friendly hygiene products whenever I can. So as the somewhat practical shopper that I was raised to be, I go and purchase 6-month supplies of feminine hygiene products ranging from those baby wipes from pH Care to affordable napkins from Charmee, Sisters and Perfect.
Most of these feminine products that I like are affordable and yet perform nearly the same as the much more high-profile brands. It's obvious that the expensive brands tend to have better quality materials (like Modess) but they cost significantly higher than the cost average. And then there are products that are just right, perfect for the working-class consumer, but the materials used to make them are somewhat different (I'm looking at you, Charmee! It's either your sticky tapes are too sticky or your polyester wrappers are too flimsy.)
I'm happy to note that I agree with Jasmine Curtis-Smith for supporting Perfect Napkins. These napkins tend to bring the best of both worlds, since the napkins absorb really well and stay put despite the mid-range price tag. Not as cheap as Charmee and Sisters, mind you, but affordable enough.
