Japanese Breakfast has made a welcome return with new single ‘Be Sweet’ ahead of the release of new album ‘Jubilee’ on 4 June via Dead Oceans. A vibrant and sparkling dose of Robyn-esque synth-pop with an ’80s influence running through its heart, the song finds Michelle Zauner opening up about how ‘I want to believe in you, I want to believe something’. It’s a glimpse into the more uptempo sound promised on the new record: ‘For me, a third record should feel bombastic and so I wanted to pull out all the stops for this one’.”
