January 2019 Blog Roundup + Welcoming February

Hola, amigos!

Yeah, I think that'll be my new greeting from now on.

Moving on... Happy February! How's your 2019 going so far?

Mine is okay. January was pretty busy as expected because of the holiday break. But it was a productive and fun month. I was able to attend the grand opening of the Original Cake Philippines. It is a famous Taiwanese castella cake shop and they recently opened their first branch in SM San Lazaro, Santa Cruz, Manila.

Have you been there? If not, you have to visit them and try any of their cakes. If you love a classic taste, go for the original. Are you a chocolate lover? You will like the rich flavour of the chocolate cake which is made with HERSHEY's Chocolate.

I like the latter, to be honest. But the flavour that really captured my heart is the golden cheese cake. It's fluffy and moist like the other two but the golden cheese cake has a far more interesting flavour brought by the sliced cheese filling as well as texture due to the cheese powder sprinkled on top!

Now for the FoodieViews section.

Suze and Ayen were able to attend the 2019 Indian Food Festival which is one of the events to celebrate 70 years of India-Philippines friendship. The event is a collaboration with India Tourism Office, (Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India), Royal Indian Curry House, Filipino Indian Commerce and Welfare Society, Mercato Centrale, and Zomato Philippines.

February Posts

The Chinese New Year falls on Tuesday, February 5. For this important event, I have started sharing restaurants I discovered in Banawe, Quezon City.

This quiet neighbourhood is the go-to place for people who want to avail auto services and purchase car accessories and parts. In fact, everywhere you look you will see an auto shop. But if you look very closely, you will also discover Banawe's numerous restaurants that are worth visiting.

First on my list is Lam Tin Tea House and then Wangz Seafood Restaurant. Then on the first week of February, I will share with you a list of other restaurants you can visit.

For now, I hope you enjoy reading and watching the videos! Please also follow me on social media and subscribe to my YouTube Channel.

Lastly, let me know your thoughts in the comment section below. 🙂

Gracias, amigo!
Clari
