In a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon (20), MP Janaka Wakkumbura was sworn in as the Minister of Environment in the presence of President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
This new appointment supplements MP Wakkumbura’s existing role as the State Minister of Provincial Councils and Local Government.
Mr. Saman Ekanayake, the President’s Secretary, also attended the swearing-in ceremony.
