Her role on HBO‘s True Blood required Jamie Gray Hyder (Danielle) to come out of her comfort zone by doing a lot of nude scenes including a threesome scene with Joe Manganiello (Alcide Herveaux), but her newest role is challenging her physically. Hyder has been cast as the lead character in the Playstation game ‘Killzone: Shadow Fall’, which will launch the new Playstation 4 later this year. She joins ‘Homeland’ actor David Harewood, and will play Echo, an intelligence operative for the Helghast. The game is developed by Guerrilla Games and is set 30 years after ‘Killzone 3′ which was released in 2011.
Hyder reports that the experience was amazing but that it was very tedious as she had to wear a spandex suit with Velcro markers on it. She had to do weapons and stunt training and often spent five hour sessions with a stunt trainer. Jamie has no regrets about doing the project because she says the role allowed her to stretch herself as an actor and she was able to see how active she can be.
