Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a brisk 73 in 35 balls with 7 fours and 5 sixes while Avishka Fernando hit 54 in 30 balls with 6 fours and 2 fours and added a remarkable opening stand of 133 in 10.4 overs. Sadeera Samarawickrama (38 in 22 balls with 6 fours) while experienced Shoaib Malik hit 32 in 15 balls with 5 fours. Dambulla chasing a target of 241 only scored 189 for 8 wickets in 20 overs. The medium paceman Binura Fernando finished with impressive figures of 4 for 22. Rahmanullah Gurbaz was named the Man of the Match for his explosive knock.
