Jada Pinkett Smith has something to say about the Mo’Nique Netflix controversy.
Mo’Nique posted a video on social media 4 days ago asking folks to boycott Netflix, due to gender bias, and color bias.
In the video the comedian shared that Netflix offered her $500,000 for a comedy special, but offered white female comedian Amy Schumer $11 million, and black male comedians Dave Chapelle $60 million, and Chris Rock $40 million for their comedy specials.
Everyone hasn’t been down with supporting the comedians boycott of Netflix. On TV One’s blog questioning how people could support Tracee Ellis Ross pay disparity with Black-ish, but not Mo’Nique’s with Netflix, one user called the comedian “washed up” and “not that funny”
A Twitter user even felt the comedian’s approach to the situation was all wrong.
Well, now Jada is chiming in. The actress Tweeted early Tuesday that even though we may not agree with Mo’Nique’s boycott, we shouldn’t allow it to make us blind to the fact that non-white women and impoverished white women are underpaid, underrepresented and undervalued EVERYWHERE by EVERYONE.
You don’t have to like Mo’Nique’s approach. You don’t have to agree with her boycott but don’t allow all of that to make you blind to the fact that non-white women and impoverished white women are underpaid, underrepresented and undervalued EVERYWHERE by EVERYONE.

As a community, we should be supporting the light she is shining on this truth.
