Jada Pinkett Smith was honored on Friday at the HBCU Power Awards on the campus of Morehouse College in Atlanta.
Pinkett-Smith dressed in all white received the Icon Award at the event that went down during Homecoming weekend.
The HBCU Power Awards were created to serve as a platform to celebrate black excellence and to highlight the importance of HBCUs in our communities.
The event was co-hosted by actor and music producer Derek “Fonzworth Bentley” Watkins a Morehouse graduate, supermodel Jessica White, and actor/comedian Deon Cole. The HBCU Power Awards were founded by Watkins and two other Morehouse Men— producer Jash’d Kambui Belcher ’99 and Wall Street executive Roderick Hardamon ’98.
