The Jacksonville Armada FC and Orange Peel Entertainment have teamed up to host the first annual CAN-DOO FEST to kickoff the Armada FC first regular season North American Soccer League match of 2015. The CAN-DOO Fest combines the appeal of music with the popularity of craft beer. The twist: all 24 beers featured at the event are served from cans. The headlining band for the event is O.A.R. with Tishamingo and The Corbitt Brothers opening.
“This is a big day for the Jacksonville sports and entertainment scene,” said Armada FC President Steve Livingstone.
Tickets for the event will be free for Armada FC season ticket holders, but a limited number will be available to the general public beginning at $35. The ticket will include access to the pre-match musical and beer event as well as admission to the inaugural regular season Armada FC match at Everbank Field.
“There will be an incredible buzz in and around Downtown with this game and our kickoff event,” said Billy Catlin of Orange Peel Entertainment, who organized the big Florida Georgia Line TAILGATE at last year’s Georgia-Florida Classic. “Mixing amazing craft beers with music is always a great fit. Adding the Armada FC’s first regular season match is the icing on the cake for a package that will attract thousands to downtown Jacksonville.”
Canned beers from Oskar Blues, Veterans United, New Belgium, Sierra Nevada, Sam Adams and Miller-Coors breweries will be represented at the event.
The CAN-DOO FEST takes place Saturday, April 4 from 12:00 noon until 7:00 p.m. Live music begins at 1:00 p.m. The Armada FC inaugural game against the Charleston Battery.
