A new performer for San Francisco Fleet Week airshow fans were the three P-51 Mustangs of the New York-based Jack Aces team. The team is comprised of American pilot Louis Horschel, Swiss pilot Ariel Luedi, and Canadian pilot Marco Rusconi, flying their East-coast Mustang warbirds in a series of formation maneuvers. Note that two of the P-51s sport the postwar 14″ taller tailfin which improved stall characteristics and provided a more stable gun platform.
