The 35-year-old singer, whose real name is José Álvaro Osorio Balvin, has never hesitated to speak the truth - and her latest social media posts are proof of that.
On Tuesday, November 3, the Colombian star opened up about her mental health issues in a series of videos shared on Instagram Stories.
"Like everyone else, I had challenges," explained the singer of "La Luz" in Spanish, which has been translated into English. "This time it's anxiety and depression."
"I don't like to gamble, fake my happiness or pretend everything is perfect," he continued. "I'm like anyone. I'm fragile and vulnerable ... maybe more than all of you."
Despite his feelings of depression and anxiety, the musician said he hoped "the storm will pass." As he said, "I'll be back making jokes with all of you. I'm not here to play but to be real and share how I'm feeling in the moment."
