I finished The Search by Nora Roberts. The ending is a bit unbelievable, but a realistic ending wouldn’t have been near as satisfying. I was along for the ride, not the verisimilitude.
Reading
I told someone on Twitter that my reading was getting ever lighter this holiday season. I followed Nora Roberts with a Young Adult steam punk novel — Goliath by Scott Westerfeld. This is the third in an imaginative trilogy with intriguing characters. The fictive World War I scenario has taken us around the world in the three books.
The other evidence of lighter reading is that I seem to be down to one book at a time right now. Usually, I’m reading at least two at once.
