County Council is split on slots,  Dallas company gets $45 million contract from Maryland Courts,  Anne Arundel County’s Jamie Benoit explores running against Rep. Donna Edwards,  BIG fight on the Green Line,  Filene’s and Syms closing!

 It’s Friday and I’m in Florida but Did you know…

These companies can entice you with promises of jobs and tax funds but what it boils down to is this: gambling brings with it a host of other ills and nastiness.  Do we really need to bring that to this County

With a goal of eliminating paper filing for court cases and to help run the state’s e-filing system, Maryland Administrative Office of the Court awarded Dallas based Tyler Technologies the hefty contract.  Was there no local company vying for this?

Jamie Benoit of the Anne Arundel County Council said that he would mount an exploratory bid in the 4th congressional district race, currently held by Rep. Donna Edwards

Big, STUPID fight on the Green Line.  I’m mad at so many people but mainly the parents of these little monsters.

Syms Corp, owner of Filene’s (MY FAVORITE STORE), has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy and will be liquidating Filene’s by the end of the year.
