It’s A Dog’s Life

By Gail Aguiar @ImageLegacy

Ice the Dog, in Porto

We loved every day of our trip abroad, but to say we missed Ice the Dog is a huge understatement. At home, his little face is usually present at every meal, begging with his eyes and throwing in a few licks to tell us “I’ll have what you’re having, please.”

Even when he’s terribly naughty, like today when I had to coax him to go back on the leash after more than hour (!) of eluding capture, it’s hard to be mad at him for long. Something in his doggy brain has told him that he’s in charge of us, that only he can protect us from invaders and the dangers of too much food (“Can I help you with that?”). Ice would like you to know he’s more than a pretty face — he takes his job very seriously. And if you come to Porto, he would love to show you around.
