Story: It Be an Evil Moon starts when disgraced scientist Freddy Campbell (Ray-White) is forced to work with criminals supplying drugs and doing odd jobs. Elsewhere, he cares for his ailing mother Gladice while working on his own project in his basement.
Freddy has been working on a hair growth formula and after he makes a decision to mix in wolfsbane, he gets a breakthrough. However, once Freddy uses it on himself, he learns about the consequences of his decision.
Verdict on It Be an Evil Moon
It Be an Evil Moon is a horror comedy following a scientist trying to make a difference in the world. However, he is forced to work out of his own basement on his latest formula. When it looks like a success, he finds himself dealing with dire consequences.
This is a unique take on the werewolf movie, moving away from curses and whatnot. By giving us a more human creation, we still get the monstrous side effects flowing through the story. The clash of worlds is also used effectively throughout the movie. I think the best thing you can say about this movie is the fact that it is unique. It sticks out and has plenty of shock value.
Where to Watch: It Be an Evil Moon is available on Prime Video Now.
Final Thoughts – It Be an Evil Moon is a unique twist on the werewolf story.
