Yutopia smartphone is the latest and most powerful smartphone release from the YU stable. The YU, is a Cyanogen-powered, online sub-brand of Micromax and its latest most powerful release is priced at 24,999, up against mid-range powerhouses like Nexus 5X and OnePlus 2.
The YU Yutopia sports an all-metal unibody, solid design with a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display. The screen resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels results in a pixel density of 565ppi delivers a high quality visual experience and is one of the best so far in the smartphone industry. On the software front it runs on Cyanogen OS 12.1, which is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop allowing it for infinite customizability options.
The camera department leaves nothing to be desired with a whopping 21MP autofocus main camera and a 8MP front camera for selfie lovers. The smartphone comes with an internal memory of 32GB which can be further expanded up to 64GB via an external microSD card, a move that swallows complaints on the storage either.
The device is enabled to support a wide range of connectivity features which include 4G, Bluetooth, WI-Fi, A-GPS and USB. This is not must to be boasted as it is common among in smartphones in this price range.
The Yutopia supports dual-sim functionality as a standard feature, but you will have to give up one of the sim cards if you want to expand storage using a microSD card. In that case, you cannot use a nano sim and instead will have to slip in a micro sim card, which marks one of the small flatters in the design but still can be scrubbed off as it has much more to admire,
It is also powered by a 2,900mAh li-po non-removable battery which keeps the device up and running for long but with bigger batteries coming with the other brands this is one feature that poses a threat to the Yutopia
Bottomline: The Yu Yutopia claims to be the most powerful smartphone ever and it does have the features and the uncompromising specifications to deliver a ruthless performance. The smartphone also offers a great user experience, excellent camera and decent battery life making it a good choice at the price range it is being offered.
