Only a couple days until the grand Sony event and an image surfaces showing what looks like a PlayStation DualShock controller with a touchpad at its center.
This image first appeared on Destructoid,and Kotaku claims its source verified that this right here, is an actual prototype gamepad for Sony’s next-gen PS 4.
This may be a prototype Sony’s engineers have thrown together so developers can make their games and that means it may not reflect what the final controller will look like.
It looks fatter and more curvy than previous and quite uncomfortable versions. It looks like Xbox’s better designed controller was an inspiration to Sony.
In just three days, on Feb 20, Sony is holding their big event to discuss the future of PlayStation where we believe they will announce the next PS. We’ll see if this controller will make its appearance there or not.
