Is There a Mole in the Land Value Taxation Campaign?

Posted on the 07 February 2015 by Markwadsworth @Mark_Wadsworth

On their website the Land Value Taxation Campaign makes a surprising claim. Ater giving a list of the top 50 business rates payers, it goes on to say
Most of these operate on sites for which the LVT valuation would be that of low-grade agricultural land. They would pay little in the way of tax.
Only 18 of the sites given are outside London and the South East and, of the remainder, 22 are in central or greater London, where the rental value of theirs sites will be many times that of low grade agricultural land.
There are many cases to be made for LVT, but this is not one of them. Is someone sabotaging the cause?
