BCCI sources said that the future of IPL 2020 will be decided in a meeting between the representatives of BCCI and all the franchises on Tuesday. BCCI has closed its office and meetings cannot be held in any hotel, due to which BCCI has decided to hold this meeting through conference call.
The BCCI had announced on March 13 to pursue the T20 league due to Corona virus.
After this, there were reports that BCCI is considering organizing it in a smaller format but later there were reports that BCCI is looking for a July-September window for it. With the T20 World Cup to be held in Australia in October, the BCCI wants to organize it before it.
If the IPL 2020 is not held, the BCCI will lose crores of rupees. BCCI will incur a loss of about Rs 3500 crore, besides its brand value is expected to fall by Rs 75 billion.
