Southern Province Senior DIG Ajith Rohana said a Police Inspector who was working as the OIC of the Crime Division of Midigama Police Station had suddenly died due to a brief illness during a New Year musical show held in Talalla.
The deceased IP Manjula Priyadarshana (43), is a resident of Gandara, Talalle. The Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police also said that investigations have shown that the cause of death was due to a heart and nerve condition.
