IOTA: A new project, enables the transfer of NFTs from Ethereum and Polygon to Shimmer

The IOTA ecosystem has indicated that Shimmer needs to reach a position where it would be easy to transfer NFTs from Ethereum, Polygon, and other blockchains. It will be possible to transfer the NFTs from Shimmer and vice versa. The IOTA Web3 ecosystem must easily connect with the rest of the Web3 ecosystem. Recently, the IOTA community announced this on Twitter.

IOTA co-founder Dominik Schiener replied to the tweet from the IOTA Twitter page just 24 hours later by saying that Shimmer is already being merged with one of the best bridges in cryptocurrency (the multichain bridge).

The Shimmer network was introduced by the IOTA foundation in November 2021. The IOTA space’s staging network for network improvements is called the Shimmer Network.

Before releasing new features or improvements on the mainnet, it enables developers to test various functionalities in a setting with incentives. Before the mainnet launch, developers are encouraged to test a variety of capabilities and features using Shimmer’s native token (SMR). The Bankless consultancy firm presented a Shimmer DeFi education space on Friday, September 9, 2022.

The conversation about wallets and the interaction with DeFi were two of the session’s high points. Bankless gave advice to session attendees to always select a wallet that is compatible with NFT marketplaces during the presentation. Additionally, it disclosed that Shimmer has just opened an NFT market. Bankless said that different NFT markets are compatible with Shimmer’s firefly wallet.

The DeFi education consulting company also talked about revoke.cash, a browser extension that works on the Shimmer network. This add-on works with chrome, brave, and other chromium browsers with a chrome edge. This extension is a great tool that takes away any permissions you’ve given to different sites and NFT projects.

Checking (at least once a month) and removing any extra permissions is a good idea. On the Shimmer website, you can watch a video that shows how the tool works on the Shimmer network.

Shimmer wants to make it easier for people by making the revoke.cash website work directly with Shimmer EVM. Bankless says that it will continue to hold these DeFi education sessions over the next few weeks.

A Firefly mobile wallet is now on the market

IOTA announced the arrival of the Firefly mobile wallet on Thursday. The mobile wallet program may be used on cellphones running either Apple iOS or Android, according to the statement. The development team for Firefly Mobile also revealed that theirs permits the upgrade of older IOTA 1.0 to 1.5. Additionally, it says that IOTA cryptocurrency can be stored, sent, and received using the Firefly mobile app.
