Invigilator’s Towering Vigil Over Exam Hall

Posted on the 27 November 2023 by Shoumya Chowdhury

The presence of an invigilator in an exam hall is essential for maintaining order and upholding the integrity of the examination process.

Recently, a viral video captured at Adekunle Ajasin University showcased an invigilator perched atop a towering platform, providing a commanding view of the entire exam hall. This elevated position enables the invigilator to effectively monitor students’ activities and promptly identify any potential instances of misconduct.

Although the video garnered humorous reactions on social media platforms like TikTok, the platform itself symbolizes the dedication and vigilance required to ensure fairness and credibility in exams.

In this article, we will explore the reasons behind the invigilator’s high platform, examine the implications of this vigilant approach, and consider the broader significance of such measures in the educational landscape.

The Invigilator’s High Platform

The person watching over the test climbed up a tall stand so they could look at all the kids taking the test. From up there, they could see everyone at once, and make sure no one was trying to cheat. The stand went all the way around so they could keep an eye on every part of the room.

The person looked really serious as they checked on all the students, ready to step in if they saw someone doing something wrong. They built this stand just for watching tests to make sure everyone does their work by themselves. Standing up there, the person made sure no one tried to cheat, keeping the test fair for everybody.

Funny Reactions to the Platform

People couldn’t stop laughing when they saw a video of a monitor sitting on a really tall stand in the test room. It got super popular on TikTok, and everyone was cracking jokes.

On Twitter, folks were saying that even with the monitor sitting way up high, they’d still figure out ways to cheat. Some said they’d still use cheat sheets to pass, no matter what. And some even made a joke that even if the monitor sat right on top of them, they’d find a way to sneak answers.

It’s funny how students always seem to find some trick to get around the rules when it comes to tests. That monitor standing way up there sure did make a lot of people have a good laugh.

Lecturer’s Encounter With an Empty Class

When the teacher walked into the room and saw that nobody was there, he looked really surprised and a bit sad. He took a video and said that he was upset because no one came to class. He also said that he wouldn’t go over the stuff they missed again.

This happened at Adekunle Ajasin University, and I heard about it from Legit.ng. The teacher coming into an empty room shows that some kids don’t go to class much, and it makes you wonder why they’re not showing up. It’s like a wake-up call that being in class and taking part is super important.

Students’ Responses to the Empty Class

When the kids found out the class was empty and the teacher wasn’t there, they all reacted in different ways. Some of the kids were upset. They were bummed they couldn’t learn anything new that day and wondered why some students didn’t seem to care about school.

One kid, who goes by @mami online, started talking about how the school used to be really cool and full of learning, and told everyone they should take their classes seriously.

But then there was @Pamela, who said something confusing about her ‘expo.’ It sounded like she had some secret way to get homework answers without having to study.

The way everyone acted so differently just goes to show that not all students think the same when it comes to learning. Some really want to learn and get worried when they see empty chairs in class, but then there are others who just want to take the easy way out and not do the work themselves.

The teacher coming to an empty class is a big problem. It shows that some students don’t really care about being there, and it makes you wonder if cheating is a big thing at school.
