This is, apparently, not a joke: Canadian pizza chain Boston Pizza is launching the Pizzaburger. It is not a burger with pizza toppings like some other, half-assed pizza burgers, no. This is an actual bacon hamburger, wrapped — as in wholly encased — in a pepperoni pizza. It seems to exist in the wild, and they certainly made at least a few of them for the video below.
Anchoring Boston Pizza’s new bun-less menu is The Pizzaburger, a half-pound prime rib burger wrapped in hand-pressed pizza dough and baked to order. The Pizzaburger is available in two varieties – Pepperoni & Bacon and Five-Cheese.
