Introducing: Helen Talks About Manga

Hellooooo Cleveland!

How I feel when I leave for work most mornings.

How I feel when I leave for work most mornings.

(wait I haven’t lived in Cleveland for years) My name is Helen and I’m a new reviewer in these parts. I’ve been writing reviews and lurking in the OASG comments for a few years now but this will be my first foray into writing for another site. I’ve been an anime fan for about 8 years now and a manga fan for a few years more, basically early in my sophomore year of high school my friends and I looked at each other, realized we all liked manga and it went downhill from there. We swapped everything that we bought, that our libraries had, that our siblings owned in the case of Hunter x Hunter, just anything that we could get our hands on and returned it in the same condition (except for that one time we had to get an unrelated friend of ours to rescue a volume of Black Cat from the trash, it’s an involved story). And even today I read quite a bit of manga through my local library systems, they can be a really great source for out of print manga, even if the old TokyoPop volumes are starting to yellow a bit.

As everyone has probably guessed, I’m here to do more manga reviews for the site and I look forward to seeing just what insane titles I come across here!
