It is the oldest planned city and the lighthouse built here is one of its first kinds along the Arabian Sea. It is an interesting tourist spot to go for backwater tours, views of the splendid Arabian Sea, Mullakkal Temple, Krishnapuram Palace and Pathiramannal.
