One year after the launch of the Ice Lake chips, Intel came with 11th generation "Tiger Lake" processors Core i3, i5 and i7 and qualifies them best suited for thin and light laptops.
The new Tiger Lake chips feature Intel Iris X graphics, the company's latest integrated graphics cards, and Control-Flow Enforcement Technology (CET), which provides hardware protection against malware.
As reported on Architecture Day in August, Tiger Lake processors are based on Intel's new Willow Cove Core microarchitecture and take advantage of "SuperFin" technology. These advancements allow chips to deliver a giant performance leap, compared to Ice Lake chips, with lower power consumption.
Intel says the chips will deliver 20% faster desktop productivity and a doubling of gaming performance. It says users will be able to run latest-gen games like Hitman 2, Borderlands 3 at 1080p on the built-in graphics. 'Intel. And with hardware-supported Dolby Vision, users will save at least 20% more power with Tiger Lake chips.
Apart from that, the new processors will support Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6, and "support for 8K HDR displays and up to four simultaneous 4K HDR displays".

Intel says more than 150 designs with 11th generation Tiger Lake chips are in development by manufacturers such as Acer, Asus, Dell, Dynabook, HP, Lenovo, LG, MSI, Razer, Samsung and others.
