Integrate fantasy basketball and NFTs with Sorare NBA

The NBA season starts on Tuesday and brings many opportunities for teams. And many opportunities for fans. Such as Sorare’s new NBA game – that combines the strategy of fantasy basketball with the high-upside collectible aspect of NFTs.

They are now making a lot of noise in the world of soccer and MLB. And currently they are bringing their trademark game to the hoops arena.

Majorly, when you create your free account (that you can do right now), you can choose your first card from a selection of the NBA’s biggest stars. Next, you will get another 19 common cards (that double as NFTs).

With your 20-card series, you have a few options. If you want to stay free-to-play, you can study the tournaments and choose five players for your lineup; thereafter, enter the Common Contender or Common Champion contests. If your team earns enough points, you’ll receive rarer cards, which you can sell in the marketplace or add to your lineup.

More tournament types will be introduced later in the season, but the Common contests are a great way for players to build up their card series’.

Hence, you need to score points to win better prizes. That definitely begs the question, how do you score?
Here is how:

Let us say you make the right calls, begin the proper players and win yourself a prize. What can you even win? Well, Sorare NBA cards are all of various rarities. Each card is limited to 1 of 5,000. Rares are 1 of 1000. Super Rares are 1 of 100 and Exclusives are 1 of 1.

Also, a very cool new feature is the artwork shown on the cards. As always, the cards will feature the player’s photo, name, the team name and logo, and the player’s position. But for the initial time, you have the opportunity to find “Action Shot” variants.

You will also have several chances to win each week. Sorare’s game weeks continue from Monday to Thursday and Friday to Sunday. So theoretically, you could be winning two contests a week. That means two new additions to your team.

Depending on the contest you win, the prize pool will vary. There is no difference in scoring (unique cards don’t score more than Super Rares, unless you are playing in a tournament – but those are for advanced players), but the rarity comes into play in terms of value.

If shredding a few new cards isn’t your style, you can always check out the marketplace to purchase (or sell) rarer cards at auction right from the start.

Auctions will end every few seconds, so the action never slows down.

Don’t wait, sign up for a free account today and mix fantasy basketball with NFTs during the NBA regular season.
