Have an Instant Pot and looking for cool recipes to try? Below are a few tasty dishes from around the world that you can cook in an Instant Pot or other pressure cooker.

Authentic Italian Lasagna

This popular classic Italian pasta dish is easy to make in an Instant Pot. The basic ingredients you’ll need are lasagne pasta sheets and some cheese (ideally some ricotta, mozzarella and possibly some parmesan too). This easy lasagna recipe tells you everything you need to know. It’s up to you as to what you use as a filling between the lasagne sheets. Most people use beef mince and vegetables with bolognese sauce, but you can use practically any meat, vegetable, or sauce that you like.

Beef Stroganoff

Beef stroganoff originates from Russia. Beef is typically cooked in a sauce made up of butter, onion, garlic, white wine, beef stock and sour cream. In many cases, mushrooms are added (you can even serve it with just mushrooms instead of beef if you’re looking for a vegetarian dish). Check out this classic stroganoff recipe to get a better idea of exactly how to prepare it. Beef stroganoff is typically served with pasta or rice.

Pulled Pork Carnitas

Pulled pork carnitas is essentially the Mexican version of pulled pork. Many people cook pulled pork in a slow cooker for hours to achieve that fall-apart texture, but you actually don’t have to cook it that long – with a pressure cooker, you can get a similar consistency within 1 ½ hours. To flavor the meat, you want to use onion, garlic, jalapeño, and orange juice. You’ll also want to season it with salt, pepper, oregano, and cumin, then simply let it cook on high pressure until done. You can use a fork to check how tender it is. Pulled pork can go into all kinds of foods from sandwiches to chilis.

Moong Dal Khichdi

This hearty and healthy South Asian dish is also great for cooking in an Instant Pot. Dal khichdi typically uses lentils, but can be made using moong beans too as in this variant. This is mixed with rice and various spices including cumin and turmeric to give it its signature taste and texture. This guide explains exactly how to make moong dal khichdi in an instant pot. You can eat moong dal khichdi on its own, or serve it with vegetables and sliced onions.

Pot Pho Noodle Soup

Pot Pho noodle soup is a Vietnamese dish made from noodles, meat, fresh herbs, and broth. Most variations use rice noodles, while beef tends to be the meat of choice (although you can also add chicken, pork, or lamb). The heavy use of garlic, onion, and ginger makes it a very aromatic soup that will make your mouth water as you’re cooking it. Traditionally, this soup is cooked for hours, however you can make it in an Instant Pot within an hour as this pot Pho noodle soup guide shows. Pot Pho can be eaten as a starter or made into a wholesome main, depending on how much you prepare and what you put in it.
