Backyard paver - Because of the unlimited designs paving bricks and stones, you can design almost any gateway you want. After designing your gateway on paper, consult your local building inspector to determine if a permit for installation is needed and to ensure that your plan meets building codes. Once you have approval, you are ready to begin installing your new brick Backyard paver walkway.
Place the perimeter of your walkway with a garden hose, rope or marking paint. This gives an idea of what your gateway will look like before you start digging. When you are satisfied with the design, you can go ahead. Measure the width and length of the area that were mentioned. Multiply the two together to get the square footage. For example, if your measurements add 2 feet by 50 feet, its square footage is 100 square feet. If you are using 1 m cobblestones, divide the square footage by 1. This means you need 100 Backyard paver. Add a 5 percent that total to ensure you have additional blocks if necessary.
Measure the thickness of the pavers. Add 2 inches to 2 inches gravel for sand and mortar. Suppose the thickness if the paver is 3 inches. This gives a total of 7 inches. Excavate the area with a shovel your walkway to match the necessary depth. Place 2 inches of gravel in the trench and tamp down with a tamper. Place 1 inch of sand over the gravel. Apply a layer of 1 inch mortar in the bottom of the Backyard paver block with a palette and place the block on the stone. Applying a layer of mortar 1/4 on each side of the Backyard paver to create grout line. Place a 1 - inch layer of mortar on the second block and then place the block next to the first block.
