The cruise collections for the 2019 season were a parade of beauty and elegance. Generally, resort clothes feature some of the best offerings on the market, but this time around, many of the proposed women's clothes were truly amazing in terms of colors, shapes, cuts, fabrics and details. Of course, we would love to see an equivalent of such clothes made for men; as, unfortunately, stylish resortwear is still incomparably a small market compared to women's.

Green is a color that is rarely seen in clothes, as it is quite hard to make work. Very bright green is a shade that is also extremely hard to pull off - when you wear green, you really need to make sure the cut, shape and everything else is quite on point. This is why we salute this magnificent dress by Tome: it's sleek, stylish and hyper-fresh!
This dress has so much history and concept behind it - it's definitely very French, but the reason why it is so great is that the concept and inspiration are not too explicit and have been processed and modernized. Altuzarra's collection was overall amazing and stylish, definitely worth checking out!
A more serious approach from Givenchy, this look is tailored for the women who mix pleasure with business on holiday. If you want to make an impression on your clients and boss on a work trip, this a go-to outfit!
A day of shopping seems to be the idea behind this amazing look by Valentino. Shopping or not, this outfit is great for a walk on the town: sightseeing, sitting down for coffee or visiting a gallery.
If you're a stylish woman and don't know if you'll have the time to change between an afternoon show and dinner, this is the right look for you. Elegant, subtle and highly versatile. We love the simple, organic lines that make the garment unique.
If you're a French girl or simply love that classic spirit, this an ensemble in which you can hit the resort you live in with your girlfriends. Comfortable, chic and luxurious.
To balance out all the white and beige of other collections, these dresses from the Erdem collection bring a mysterious air to the season. They're clearly vintage in terms of inspiration, but have an updated feel to them that makes them timeless instead of costumes. Great for a morning walk to see the sun rise.
You don't have to be a professional dancer to feel like one. This 3.1 Phillip Lim look is very dynamic and a clear throwback to elegant Spanish ladies who dance the night away in the streets during the warm summer nights. It's all about making a dream into a reality.
Those who want to be stylish, but don't want to overdo it or put too much effort into it can look at the Giorgio Armani cruise 2019 collection as a go-to wardrobe. Their pieces are effortless, simple and really cool - just right for the lady on the go.
A true showstopper, this Calvin Klein dress will make you the talk of the evening. Just think about making an entrance in that... that's what's called a fashion moment. Well done!
This Zimmermann look is the reflection of the idea of the grand ladies of society. This type of look basically requires that you wear at last two kilos of jewelry... you know... just because.
The pleats and play with proportions make this Issey Miyake the right thing to wear at an open-air concert, at a club or at fun cocktail party on the beach. It's basically the definition of resort wear.
Pensive, quirky and extremely sleek are the terms that describe this very Parisian Petar Petrov look. It's amazing how this outfit strikes a good balance between the classic French vibe and a futuristic approach to clothes. Great job!
Overall, it can be said that the cruise 2019 women's collections were really remarkable. Cool, refined and chic, they are go-to pieces not just for the summer holidays, but for the whole year and seasons to come. The only thing is that it would be cool to have such a wide range of resort clothes for men as well. However, until then, men can look at these clothes and find their inspiration to be cool, edgy and sartorially fresh.
