1 BLOG Photo Alex Woo Q and A hboTrue Blood season 5 began production just two weeks ago and to accompany that we now have a brand spankin new blog entry from the Inside True Blood Blog penned by Gianna Sobol, Alan Ball’s assistant. The blog started prior to season 4′s airing and quickly became a favorite amongst Trubies. In this week’s blog entry, Gianna caught up with Executive Producer and writer Alexander Woo to discuss what the writers are up to with season 5. She also mentioned that Alan is in the process of casting characters, breaking story, and finding locations to film.

According to Alexander, there are six writers for season 5 and he will be writing episode 4 and another at the end of the season. He’s also read the first two scripts and is very excited about them! As for what is happening right now, the first half of the season scripts are being written and episode 1 is being prepared for shooting.  So what can we expect for next season?:

“Some of the things that people loved in the first four seasons of ‘True Blood,’ you’ll be getting more of. And there will also be some surprises that will hopefully delight everyone. We have a sense of what the fans have already enjoyed in the previous seasons, and we’re doing our best to give our fans more of that but also leave some room for novelty and surprise.”
