Kurunegala DIG Anil Priyantha has commenced an inquiry on the Pothuhera OIC for allegedly providing police security to Janaka Senadhipathi, the controversial figure who was constructing a fake Dalada Maligawa.
The DIG’s Office said that many complaints, which said that the OIC was a follower of Senadhipathi, have been received, together with some photos and videos which showed that the OIC was worshipping him. The DIG said that a complaint against a close follower of Senadhipathi, which was lodged by a construction contractor in Kandy, had not been properly inquired by the OIC.
