Innovate Thinking Routines on Global Warming and Sustainability

By Thinkibility

As a result of our series on Global Warming and Sustainability we believe that our thinking routines should be changed fundamentally. But how, and what is the difference with our current thinking habits? Our ordinary, daily thinking habits.

Innovate Thinking Routines on Global Warming and SustainabilityHow Does Nature ¨Think¨?

We came up with three Idea Sensitive Areas.

So, we have three posts in the pipeline.

  1. How does Nature ¨thinks¨? What is the difference with human thinking? Where comes that difference from?
  2. How forces neo-liberal economic behavior that is destructive for humans and nature?
  3. How can we shift from classical Western habits of thinking in entities to thinking in relations between entities

The Difference Between How Nature Works and People Think.

We suppose that we can learn from Nature how it prevents and perhaps might solve the problems related to global warming and reduced sustainability. Asa Jomard, as an expert in biomimicry, have tons of tons examples from nature as she shows in her blog Biomimicry for Children – A Think Dive into Nature.

Ray Dalio Quote: “Though how nature works is way beyond man's ability to comprehend, I have found that observing how nature works offers i...”

Could we then deduce from each example the underlying concept of “thinking” that nature uses? Nature, of course, does not think, at least not consciously, but acts with the clear purpose of survival.

Healthy Economic Thinking

With healthy economic thinking we mean economic thinking focused on sustainability, not wealth.

Economic Theories - benefits
  • An economy is the large set of inter-related production and consumption activities that aid in determining how scarce resources are allocated.
  • In an economy, the production and consumption of goods and services are used to fulfill the needs of those living and operating within it.
  • Market-based economies tend to allow goods to flow freely through the market, according to supply and demand.

If we hypothesize that neo-liberal economical thinking is a determining factor that caused global warming and impaired sustainability, which what theory schould we replace the standard theoretical frame of exchanging material goods, that is economic theory?

What questions should be answered, regarding the definition of economics if we change the objective of economic theory from wealth creation to creating sustainability? Could we design a new mechanism that creates the right incentives to align supply and demand fairly and sustainablely?

Thinking in Relations

32 Unilateral Synonyms. Similar words for Unilateral.

We assume that one of the causes of the Global Warming and reduction of sustainability lies in typical Western mono-causal, unilateral, individualistic thinking.
