Innis & Gunn go forth with a fourth beer kitchen
Last night saw the press launch of the new Innis & Gunn Beer Kitchen on Ashton Lane in Glasgow's West End. Located where Ketchup was, it has three floors of beer, food and cocktails. Each level has a different vibe: the ground floor houses the open plan microbrewery. The 1st floor is a casual dining area and the 2nd Floor houses the Attic Bar, which serves beer cocktails known as hop-tails. This is their fourth beer kitchen following successful openings in Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews.
As you can see below it was a bit busy. We squeezed our way around the three bars and got some photos.
There is booth-style seating areas and a good amount of standing room in the ground floor bar. 17 taps were available including 71 Beewing, Out of town, Founders and more.
The on-site brewed beer was going down well ...table beer, marshmallow milk stout and Ashton Lane pale ale.
As well as on the board, there's a menu of beer - as is required.
Beer is available to take away in bottles, cans and growlers too.
Food-wise, there's a mix of dishes from haggis doughnuts to fish & chips, Massaman curry and chipotle flat-iron steak.
It's not all beer...there's hop-tails as well. This one below was a mix of Innis & Gunn original, Auchentoshan American Oak, quince jelly, lemon juice and orange bitters.
