INLAND has been selected for this year’s BFI Presents programme at Vue: on Weds 24 May. There will be special preview screenings across the country in 87 Vue cinemas
INLAND has a wonderful all-star cast, led by British actor Rory Alexander for his debut leading role opposite Mark Rylance (who won the Oscar for Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies). Rory has previously starred in Danny Boyle’s Pistol, August Osage County, Untamed, The Laramie Project and Then You Run. Also stars Kathryn Hunter (Joel Coen’s The Tragedy of Macbeth, Andor, All or Nothing), Nell Williams, Shaun Dingwall, Alexander Lincoln, Sebastian Orozco, Eleanor Holliday and Jake Gwilliam. INLAND is the feature debut from phenomenal new writing and directing talent – Fridtjof Ryder. With whom Mark Rylance has said he’ll work with again on his next project.
INLAND is a modern folktale set against the dreamlike landscapes of rural England. Which explores the altered state and fractured identity of a young man after his mother mysteriously disappears without a trace. Guided by a father figure and old friends, INLAND reveals this young man’s emotional journey and haunted visions.
