The American brand InFocus has unveiled a new range of smartphones in India. This new range is Bingo and it targets the fun-loving youngsters who need cool smartphones but can't make their parents spend big bucks. The Bingo range of smartphones is all about fun. And this fun, at least, does not bear a very heavy price tag.
Speaking on the launch, Sachin Thapar, Country Head, InFocus India said, "BINGO series of smartphones from InFocus stands for unmatched quality and design, coupled with latest features that inspires young mobile users to do crazy, silly, fun things with their device. Our first endeavour is BINGO 21 which is designed for the 'selfie-first' generation, who love clicking and sharing on the go. BINGO 21 promises exceptional performance and a great selfie experience, letting more users be a part of the selfie phenomenon."
The first Bingo device that has been launched in India is Bingo 21. It is priced at only Rs. 5,499 and does seem to possess better specifications than most other similarly priced smartphones.
InFocus BINGO 21 is a dual-SIM, 4G-enabled smartphone. With 1.5 GHz Quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 8 GB ROM that is expandable up to 32 GB using the microSD card. The display is 4.5 inch. The device is powered by 2,300mAh battery. The operating system is Android 5.1.
Bingo 21 has 8 MP rear camera with Auto-Focus and LED Flash and 5 MP front camera with LED Flash. Camera modes include panorama shot and selfie timer.
The fun element of the smartphone becomes obvious from its packaging itself. And the device comes pre-loaded with several fun features. There is a cool animation that greets the user when the device is booted. The User Interface of the smartphone has been customized to give it a more cheery feel. There are also some pre-loaded apps like Bobble which lets user covert their photos into emoticons. Although, I don't like smartphones coming with pre-loaded apps, Bobble does sound like fun. Besides these, InFocus assures of adding more fun to the Bingo devices through new themes, wallpapers and apps.
Bingo 21 is available in India in Fashion White, Orange and Blue. Bingo 21 is to be available exclusively on Snapdeal from 11 th February, 2016. The registrations for it are already on. The price of Bingo 21 in India is Rs. 5,499.
